Not to be confused with anti aging treatments, anti aging cosmetics are something that are used by many people in many cultures. They are topical creams and makeup covers that are geared to temporarily create the illusion of looking younger. But why do people bother with something that has only a temporary effect? There are several good reasons.

First, people use anti aging cosmetics as a way to hold on to their own sense of youth. The body may be aging, but often in our minds we are still in our twenties.
